The Music
Before "i'll be somebody", the single "Brown Eyed Baby" got Grace noticed in Nashville Clubs, leading her to promote the single on the Today in Nashville morning show.
Grace started writing the tracks to "i'll be somebody" while living in Nashville, when she was 18. The project is full of teen-angst, and was released as Covid was winding down.
Most tracks were recorded and produced by Dan Krochmal in the Delaware Forest. "Only One" was produced by Tommy Gabriel, and "...side bar" was a voice memo, taken in a barn.
'Mercy' Reimagined
Directed and Produced by Tony Moreno with Visual Horizons
Tony Moreno and Grace reimagined the song "Mercy" as a conversation someone could have with their mental health. They used different sets to create the feeling of moving through different stages of mental illness, before finally taking control back. This entire music video was filmed at Grace's house, and in the Natural Area Salt Barn across from St. Mikes College.

FUNK
Bands
During college, Grace linked up with local funk-jazz fusion jam-band, Lazy Bird. A project that had already been running for 4+ years, Lazy Bird played colleges across New England, and consistently had tour-runs.
Lazy Bird opened for national touring groups such as the Disco Biscuits, Pink Talking Fish, and Dopapod.
Now 2 years post-grad, Grace can be found as a featured guest at funk shows throughout New England. To pay homage to the sound that got her here today, the first single she released with producer and engineer George Walker Petit was "Drunk Sometimes", a song that became a crowd-favorite at Lazy Bird shows.

"Drunk Sometimes" was written after having too much to drink, and hitting on a friend. Not the classiest story, but one I'm SURE I'm not alone in....
The Music Video
Tony Moreno and I decided to have FUN with this music video. We wanted it to feel like you were at a house party, seeing all your hometown friends and catching up. We taped trash bags to the sides of the house to create the night-time effect, and were able wrap up filming in one night!!!
Wanna Go Out?
Personal Note from Grace:
"Wanna Go Out" was written after I had recently graduated college. My friends and I struggled with making ends meet, and I noticed everyone my age was having the same experience. How were we supposed to go out and enjoy ourselves, when we could barely afford rent? The small, silver lining I mention in the beginning of the song was believing that the work I was putting in at that time would eventually start to pay off, and the knowledge that my friends and I would support one another how we could, until that happened.
How Many People Equal A Person?
This song was Grace's 3rd released single with George Petit. Tony Moreno shot a beautiful live video of the song at First Congregational Church in Burlington, VT, where Grace frequently plays.
This song is about the inhuman treatment of people as a result of capitalism, and tries to ask questions to get people to identify their own biases against people who are unable to produce capital for the state.

A Note From Grace:
This song was written as as my 'hope' song. Though I talk in length about concerning world events and the climate crisis, I believe the only way forward through any social movement in community, shared joy, and hope. This song is a reminder to hold on, just a little longer....
